スーツ －グラウカス・シリーズについて
闘う女性をテーマにして、トルソを制作。
背筋を伸ばし胸を張った、強さと美しさを併せ持つ「女神」的モデルを、3年間かけて準備。
その原型に和紙を張り、剥して「服」を作る。
服は、ガラスの破片と青い顔料でコーティングされている。
スーツには、服でありながら、身を守る鎧の意味を重ねている。
About Suit of Glaucus‐series
I made a torso with the theme of a fighting woman.
It took three years to prepare this “goddess” model, who stands tall and holds her chest out, exuding both strength and beauty.
Japanese paper is pasted on the prototype, and then peeled off to create “clothes” that match the original shape.
The clothing is coated with glass shards and blue pigment.
A suit is not only clothing, but also serves as a protective armor.

榎倉康二氏の作品紹介、および氏と交流のあった作家が、多く作品を発表。
